Being originally from the landlocked state of North Dakota and a minimum of 2000 miles to the nearest ocean, it was only natural (given my unorthodox view of life) for me to develop a love for ocean sailing.
While I dabbled some in blue-water sailing prior to my retirement in 1989, I really caught the bug when I had plenty of time on my hands and my golf game was not improving.
Nothing is better in life than to leave everyday existence and go sailing, for weeks and months on end. One forgets about the mundane events back home and becomes part of the sea and its slowly changing cycles.

and interior shots, as well as various personal photos taken over the years.
Some people think that to sail is to deprive themselves
of life comforts, but they don't know what sailing is all about. It is a
lifestyle, not just only a means to go from here to there. Rather, it is an
embodiment of what one wants and enjoys in life.

can afford it)...
